Have you ever told yourself, you can’t do something? I would say that would be the majority of us. It is natural for us to have self-doubt when we are challenged with new situations. I am here to share with you, my martial arts journey that eliminated “the doubt”, and motivated me in not only my dojo life but also my personal life. My name is Tristan Davis, and I started my martial arts journey when I was 3 years old in Morehead, Kentucky. My father has his own practice and started my brother and I at an early age. We began learning the importance of motivation, self-esteem, courage, and other disciplinary areas. It has become a way of life and to this day, I practice what my father taught me years ago. Currently, I am a 4th Dan black belt in Tang Soo Do, a Korean style of Karate and its ancestor is Shotokan. I am actively an instructor at Davis Karate of Morehead, Kentucky and also train BJJ. My purpose is to help martial artists continue their journey to success or assist the ones who want to get started. I want to share my knowledge with anyone interested, help fighters gear up for the next level, and create a family-like environment for my followers to discuss common topics, share information, etc. For those that believe you can’t, I know you CAN!
